Who are you and where do you come from?
My name is Hendric and I was born in Leipzig (Germany).

When did you start working in a kitchen?
I started cooking when I was 16 years old.

Where does your inspiration come from?
From everywhere, particular from some great chefs in the world like Anne-Sophie Pic, Björn Frantzén or Dieter Müller. Daily cooking and trying always open up new ideas.

How would you describe your style of cooking?
Classic style with modern and French touch.

What is your favorite ingredient?
All spices, especially Piment d’Espelette.

What is your favorite thing to cook?
Scallops.

What is your favorite cuisine?
Classic French and New Nordic Cuisine.

What is your advice to people who want to become a chef?
Be passionate about cooking and work hard. But also be yourself and keep your dreams and objectives at the back of your mind.

What is your ultimate food dream?
I have always dreamed of opening my own restaurant. All the ideas for it are in my mind and I just need the opportunity.

Restaurant “Villers” at the Hotel Fürstenhof, Leipzig (Germany)

Where do you see yourself in 1 year, 3 years and 5 years?
The next years I want to improve my style of cooking and maybe to open my own restaurant.
